With me back from Eurofurence, it’s time to get busy again. Today we addressed several smaller issues found in the shark avatar as well as our animesh bits lines. As per usual you can get your updates from the caspervend terminals in our stores
As for what got fixed today, check it out:
Shark: Fixed the alternate tails not animating
Animesh Equine: Fixed missing sway animation on XXL size
Animesh Equine: Fixed missing stroke animation on S short size
Animesh Dragon: Fixed ball bounce animation not looping correctly
Two pieces of news today! Firstly, the first patch for our Shark Kits is now live! Use the caspervend redelivery terminals in our inworld stores in order to get the updates. The patch addresses the following issues:
Fixed eyeblink animations not playing
Fixed ear selector in HUD attempting to play anims that don’t exist
Fixed unpacker not handing out shapes
Added “NoLeg” variations of the three tails to the “Extras” folder. Use these if you have conflicts with a bento cock
In other news, starting tomorrow, the 13th, I will be on vacation at Eurofurence. While I will have access to internet, customer ticket replies will be slow, and I will be unable to respond to any offline IMs. If you need to reach me, please make use of the ticket system at psicorp.freshdesk.com to ensure your issue can be logged accordingly.
On a private note, if you happen to attend, feel free to say hello. I will be present in the PsiCorp discord and will check in on it now and then.
I will return home on Monday the 19th, and will likely settle in fairly quickly and go over any messages I have received in my absence.
We are proud to announce our next avatar release – and our first major collaboration project – with the all new shark avatar! Designed by the talented Mindmachine, these avatars also feature some exciting new features. For the first time ever, we used 30-second long facial animations rather than just fixed facial poses, allowing for more, subtle expression changes, and helping to really bring these avatars to life.
We also set this avatar up to be simple to use on virtually any omega compatible mesh body, so whether you want to use our own brand or use a Maitreya, Belleza, or other third party body, the main requirement is that they support the Omega Applier system in order to receive the textures. The head is compatible with the standard SL neck, which means it should seamlessly fit all major brands. Essentially, if it can fit a human mesh head, it will work with the shark as well!
Also included are bento animated tails in three sizes, with new, smooth and fluid animations. Each pose offers one static, as well as three animated sways of varying speeds. Lastly, we created all new eyes for this avatar, which you’ll start seeing in our future projects as well, and which look so much more lively and awesome than our previous renditions.
And for those who like it wet, we are including a special water droplet effect in the box as well, letting your shark look like a proper marine animal, dripping wet and gleaming. You can see this effect in use on the male shark in the preview pics!
As one final treat, the amazing person behind )Umbra( is going to be creating a set of special skins for this shark, which will most likely be ready for the release weekend! Stay tuned for another post on this blog with some pics!
As for the where and when we will be celebrating the release of this new avatar, mark down the following dates and locations, and come join us!
